Yes. If you need help understanding the plan or choosing the right option, you can contact Khyaal support before buying the policy.
Anyone aged 18 years or above can buy Khyaal Health Insurance for an eligible family member aged 41 to 75 years. If you are between 41 and 75 years, you can also buy the policy for yourself.
The person being insured should be between 41 and 75 years of age. For example, you can buy the policy for yourself, your parent, grandparent, spouse, or another eligible family member if they fall within this age range.
Yes, Khyaal Health Insurance is available across India, subject to the insurer’s policy terms and service availability. You can use the policy for eligible treatment at network hospitals and other supported hospitals as per the claim process.
Yes. You can buy Khyaal Health Insurance for yourself if you are between 41 and 75 years of age. You can also buy it for eligible family members, such as your spouse, parents, grandparents, or other loved ones who are between 41 and 75 years of age.
Yes. You can buy insurance for more than one eligible family member. Each family member’s details will be collected separately, and the premium may vary based on their age, selected plan, and other policy conditions.
Khyaal Health Insurance offers different plan options based on the type and amount of health cover you need. You can choose from a Base Plan, a Super Top-Up Plan, or a Comprehensive Plan that combines both. The right option depends on whether you already have health insurance and how much additional coverage you want.
The Base Plan is available in two Sum Insured options: ₹5 lakh and ₹10 lakh. The Super Top-Up Plan is available in two Sum Insured options: ₹20 lakh and ₹50 lakh. The exact premium will be shown during the purchase journey based on the insured person’s age and selected plan.
The Comprehensive Plan includes both a Base Plan and a Super Top-Up Plan. This means you get regular health insurance coverage through the Base Plan, along with extra protection through the Super Top-Up Plan for higher medical expenses.
The Base Plan is the main health insurance cover. It helps pay for eligible hospitalisation and medical expenses up to the selected Sum Insured, as per the policy terms. This plan is useful for people who want basic health insurance coverage.
The Super Top-Up Plan gives you extra health insurance cover for bigger medical expenses. This plan starts helping only after a fixed amount, called the deductible, has already been paid through your existing health insurance or by you. For example, if you choose a ₹20 lakh Super Top-Up Plan with a ₹5 lakh deductible, the first ₹5 lakh of eligible hospital expenses will need to be paid by your existing insurance or by you. After that, the Super Top-Up Plan can help cover the remaining eligible expenses up to ₹20 lakh, as per the policy terms.
Yes. You can buy only the Base Plan if you want basic health insurance coverage. The available cover amount and premium will be shown during the purchase journey.
Yes. You can buy only the Super Top-Up Plan if you already have health insurance or if you are comfortable paying the deductible amount yourself when needed. The Super Top-Up Plan starts covering eligible expenses only after the deductible amount is paid.
No. Khyaal Health Insurance is an individual policy, so family members cannot be covered under the same policy. If you want to insure more than one family member, you will need to buy a separate policy for each person. Each member’s premium will be calculated separately based on their age, selected plan, and policy rules.
If you do not have existing health insurance, the Comprehensive Plan or Base Plan may be more suitable. If you already have health insurance and want extra coverage for bigger hospital bills, the Super Top-Up Plan may be helpful. Khyaal will guide you with simple questions and show suitable plan options based on your answers.
A deductible is the amount that must be paid first before the Super Top-Up Plan starts covering eligible expenses. This amount can be paid through your existing health insurance or by you. Once the deductible amount is crossed, the Super Top-Up Plan can help cover the remaining eligible expenses, as per the policy terms. For example, if you have a ₹20 lakh Super Top-Up Plan with a ₹5 lakh deductible and your hospital bill is ₹8 lakh, the first ₹5 lakh will need to be paid through your existing insurance or by you. After that, the Super Top-Up Plan can help cover the remaining ₹3 lakh, as per the policy terms.
Yes. The deductible applies separately for each policy year. This means the deductible amount needs to be crossed again every year before the Super Top-Up cover starts helping with eligible expenses. For example, if your policy starts in 2026 and you have a ₹20 lakh Super Top-Up Plan with a ₹5 lakh deductible, the first ₹5 lakh of eligible hospital expenses in that policy year will need to be paid through your existing insurance or by you. After that, the Super Top-Up Plan can help cover eligible expenses. When the policy renews for the next year, the ₹5 lakh deductible starts again. So, in the new policy year, the first ₹5 lakh will again need to be paid before the Super Top-Up cover starts applying.
Khyaal Health Insurance helps cover eligible hospitalisation and treatment expenses for illness or injury. Key benefits include in-patient hospitalisation cover, daycare treatment cover, pre and post-hospitalisation expenses, ambulance coverage, alternative treatment coverage, modern treatment coverage, room rent benefits and more. The policy also includes support for both cashless and reimbursement claims, as per the claim process.
The Base Plan helps cover eligible medical expenses up to the selected Sum Insured of ₹5 lakh or ₹10 lakh. It includes cover for hospitalisation of more than 24 hours, daycare treatments, medical expenses before and after hospitalisation, alternative treatments, modern treatments up to 50% of the Sum Insured, ambulance coverage up to ₹2,000, and room rent benefits and more.
The Super Top-Up Plan gives additional health insurance cover for bigger hospital bills. It includes benefits such as in-patient hospitalisation cover, daycare treatment cover, pre and post-hospitalisation expenses, alternative treatment cover, modern treatment cover up to 50% of the Sum Insured, ambulance coverage up to ₹2,000, room rent benefits, and more. This plan starts covering eligible expenses only after the deductible amount is paid. The deductible is ₹5 lakh for the ₹20 lakh Super Top-Up Plan and ₹10 lakh for the ₹50 lakh Super Top-Up Plan.

Your premium is calculated based on the insured person’s age, selected plan, Sum Insured, and applicable taxes. Once you share the required details, Khyaal AI Assistant will show the exact premium amount before you make the payment.
Health insurance premium usually changes with age because medical risk can increase as a person grows older. That is why the premium may be different for different age groups, even for the same plan and Sum Insured.
Yes. 18% GST will be added to the premium amount as per government rules. You will be able to see the premium, GST, and total payable amount before completing the payment.
Yes. You can pay online through the available payment options during the purchase journey. Once the payment is successful, you will receive a confirmation.
Yes. After successful payment, you will receive a payment confirmation. Your policy details will be processed after payment, and the policy document will be shared once it is issued by the insurer.
If your payment fails, the policy purchase will not be completed. You can try making the payment again. If the amount is deducted but the payment is not successful, it is usually refunded by the payment provider or bank as per their timelines. You can contact Khyaal support if you need help.
To buy the policy, you will need to share basic details of the person being insured, such as name, age/date of birth, mobile number, gender, address, nominee details, and other information required during the purchase journey. These details help calculate the correct premium and issue the policy correctly.
Khyaal Health Insurance does not require heavy documentation during purchase. You may need to provide basic identity and personal details as required by the insurer. If any additional document is needed, it will be informed during the purchase journey.
No. A medical check-up is not required to buy Khyaal Health Insurance. However, you will need to provide a Good Health Declaration and answer health-related questions honestly during the purchase process.
A Good Health Declaration is a simple self-declaration where you confirm your current health condition. This helps the insurer understand your health details before issuing the policy. Please answer this honestly, as incorrect information may affect claim approval in the future.
After successful payment, your application will be processed by the insurer. If all details are approved, your policy will be issued and shared with you. If any health details need further review, the insurer may contact you before approving the policy.
You will receive your policy document within 7-10 working days after your application is approved and the policy is issued by the insurer. The document will be shared with you digitally through the available communication channels.
Your insurance card and policy details will be shared digitally after the policy is issued. You can use these details during hospitalisation, cashless claim requests, or reimbursement claims, as per the claim process.
You can raise a claim by contacting the claims helpline and sharing the required details for guidance. For cashless claims, the hospital insurance desk will help submit the pre-authorisation request to Care Health Insurance. For reimbursement claims, you will need to submit the required bills and documents after discharge.
A cashless claim allows the hospital to directly coordinate with the insurance company for eligible treatment expenses. For this, you need to visit a network hospital. The hospital insurance desk will verify your documents and submit a pre-authorisation request to Care Health Insurance. Once approved, eligible expenses will be settled as per the policy terms.
A reimbursement claim means you pay the hospital bill first and then submit the required documents to get the eligible amount reimbursed. This is usually used when cashless approval is not received or when treatment is taken at a non-network hospital. The reimbursement will be processed as per the policy terms and submitted documents.
Cashless claims are available at Care Health Insurance network hospitals. Before hospitalisation, it is recommended to check whether the hospital is part of the Care Health Insurance network and whether cashless treatment is available for the planned treatment.
For cashless claims, you may need documents such as the Policy E-card, valid ID proof, and a medical practitioner’s letter advising hospitalisation. For reimbursement claims, you may need documents such as valid ID proof, doctor’s referral or prescription, original test reports, discharge summary, indoor case papers, cancelled cheque with bank details, original hospital bills, pharmacy bills, and any other documents required by the insurer.
For cashless claims, Care Health Insurance’s medical team reviews the case and may generate a claim reference number with a pre-approved limit within 24 hours of valid submission. For reimbursement claims, claims are usually settled within 30 days from the date of valid submission of all required documents.
If your claim is rejected, you should first check the reason for rejection shared by the insurer. You can contact Khyaal support or the claims helpline for guidance. If any missing or additional documents are required, you may be able to submit them for further review, as per the insurer’s process.
Khyaal will guide you during the claim process and help you connect with the right support team. Bharatsure and Care Health Insurance will support the claim process as per the policy terms, claim type, and required documents.

Yes. Khyaal will try to remind you before your policy renewal date through available communication channels. However, it is also recommended that you keep track of your policy expiry date so that the renewal is not missed.
If you miss the renewal date, your policy may expire and your health cover may stop. You may also lose continuity benefits, such as completed waiting periods, depending on the insurer’s rules and grace period. It is best to renew before the expiry date to avoid any coverage gap.
Yes, the premium may change at the time of renewal. The renewal premium can depend on factors such as the insured person’s age, selected plan, Sum Insured, taxes, and the insurer’s pricing rules at that time.
Plan changes may be allowed at the time of renewal, subject to the insurer’s terms and approval. If you want to upgrade, downgrade, or change your cover, you can contact Khyaal support before renewal to understand the available options.
